Unpaved Cycles is the brainchild of Michiel Burgerhout, who has been building custom steel bikes as Project12 Cycleworks since 2016. Unpaved aims to offer small batch production with the option of custom sizing or even custom geometry, all handmade in the BicycleHub near Nijmegen, the Netherlands, from Reynolds and Columbus tubing.
The first bike that will be available early 2025 is Victor, a further development of project12’s succesfull XC+ bike. With 99mm (or less) travel, a 130mm fork and fairly modern geometry Victor is Unpaved’s idea of a capable and fun XC bike that is fast enough for the flowy Dutch singletracks and capable enough for the backcountry of Finale Ligure.
Unpaved is currently working on the first titanium Victor prototype and a yet to be named titanium gravelbike. The Vertigo trailbike with either 140/125 or 150/140mm of travel is in development to be presented later in 2025.
